Tips On Time Efficiency For The Part-Time Writer.
How part-time writers can be time efficient and increase their productivity.
I’m not a full-time writer. Perhaps one day I will be. Maybe not. Right now, I am trying to balance working on a Ph.D. thesis with writing on various platforms.
My guess is a lot of you are like me. You have day jobs. Things other than writing are the mainstay of your life. Your blog/book project is, at least for now, a part-time endeavor. Yet writing, and writing continuously, places that which is in short supply for us - time.
In fact, I conducted a Facebook poll to find out the number one problem that all bloggers face and it seems that shortage of time is that problem:
So what do you do? How do you juggle a time-consuming part-time passion project with the demands of the hectic everyday? Here are some amazing time hacks that have helped me a lot on my journey. My hope is that these hacks, framed as tips, will help you in navigation
1/ Get organized with a content calendar. Plan out your blog posts in advance, and use scheduling tools to automate publishing. This will save you time and help you stay consistent with your content.
2/ Use templates for your graphics and social media. Create templates for your blog post graphics, social media posts, and email newsletters. This will help you save time and maintain consistency in your branding.
3/ Repurpose your content. Don't reinvent the wheel! Repurpose old blog posts into new formats, like videos, infographics, or podcasts. This will help you reach new audiences and save time on creating new content.
4/ Outsource tasks. Consider outsourcing tasks like editing, proofreading, or social media management to freelancers or virtual assistants. This will free up your time to focus on creating content.
5/ Use productivity tools. There are many tools available to help you streamline your blogging process, like Grammarly for proofreading, Trello for project management, and Hootsuite for social media scheduling. Find the ones that work for you and save time.
Implementing these time-saving tips will help you focus on what really matters - creating high-quality content that resonates with your audience.
